    Prostate Cancer Support Group

    This support group helps prostate cancer patients, survivors, their families and friends and other community members in the fight against prostate cancer. Medical questions answered. Call 905-628-2964 for information on meetings 


    St. Mark's Co-op Preschool

    St. Mark’s Co-op Preschool, provides a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for ALL children.

    Dundas District Civitan Club

    We are part of a world-wide network of service organizations whose primary purpose is to assist persons with developmental challenges.

      


                                       * OUR KEY SERVICE PROJECTS *


    *Civitan Place*
    Located   at  15  Baldwin  Street,  Civitan  Place  is  owned  and  maintained  by Dundas  Civitans.

    It  is  the  home  of  the  Dundas  Learning  Centre,   an innovative educational and life skills day program for adults with developmental disabilities. It  currently  serves  over  forty  individuals   who  come  from  throughout  the Hamilton area.

    *Dundas Alleycats Special Olympics Bowling League*
    The league, formed in 1990, is a unique partnership of the Dundas District Civitan Club and Ontario Special Olympics.
    The league operates from September to April at University Lanes in Dundas, and is comprised of forty  athletes of varying ages, who have developmental disabilities. Members of both the Senior and Junior Civitan Clubs, along with student volunteers and family members, assist with organizing, coaching and score keeping.


     

                                           * OTHER CLUB ACCOMPLISHMENTS *

      

     

    *Secured Ontario Trillium Foundation and municipal funding for accessible
                  playground equipment at Dundas Driving Park
    *Sponsor the Nativic Junior Civitan Club
    *Support community literacy efforts, and contribute to “Books For Kids” program
    *Established “Club ‘95”, a social group for persons  with developmental challenges.
                   Events take place at St. Mark’s Parish Hall
    *Continued support for community  programs,  youth sports groups, shool scholarships.
